The clients for this project needed a larger home for their growing family and approached Harder Brothers very early in their search. They could not find the quality they desired in any newly constructed homes on the market so they decided to build their dream home. When they found an old frame two unit in the exact neighborhood they desired they fell in love with the composition of the existing facade and enjoyed the larger width that the existing home allowed. To make their dream a reality, Harder Brothers worked creatively within the Zoning and Building Code to build a new home for the clients while maintaining the grandfathered status of the house's width. Of the old building, only the front facade remained, and Harder Brothers designed and built the new home to our clients' exact specifications.
